Top New Games You Can Play With Proton Since Apr. 2021

And May here we are! Here is our usual monthly update! Boiling Steam looks at the latest data dumps from ProtonDB to give you a quick list of new games that work (pretty much?) perfectly with Proton since April 2021 – all of them work out of the box or well enough with tweaks:

Portal Reloaded looks like a great rendition of the original Portal with the engine of Portal 2! Nostalgic RPG games will recognize the old SaGa Frontier in this list: a very good game but they are being quite greedy pricing-wise for such an old title.

And now here’s our monthly video showing all these very nice titles in one go:

You can also watch the very same video on Youtube in case the link above does not work well.

Note, we did report that Nier Replicant worked well on Proton a few days ago, but it seems like there’s some serious issue going on with cutscenes at the end of Chapter 1 making the game break on Proton currently – therefore you won’t see it on this list for now. Till next month!

Portal Reloaded is its own game from what I understand. It adds a new time travel mechanic.
