A lot of titles but a lot of shovelware as well. We went thru the garbage to find out some gems in the lot. There’s The Mailroom which is some kind of job simulation, adventure game, that’s fairly short but will leave you with some memorable moments.

More games and full details below.
NEURON ACTIVATION
Released on 28 Oct, 2026, developed by DR Studio and published by Pretty Soon. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: Adventure, Casual, Indie, Simulation, Strategy
About the game: A digital fidget box of dopamine-fueled micro-challenges. Push buttons. Shoot targets. Chain actions for higher scores. Complete all tasks. Don’t ask questions.
Steam Reviews Summary: Reviewers describe it as a Warioware-style frenzy of micro-challenges, with the dopamine loop, sound design and visual effects getting the most praise. The full game adds a surprisingly substantial ~4 hour campaign on top of the frantic arcade scoring, plus leaderboards and perfect-score chases for replay value, and the writing and humor (program lifecycles, betrayal, support pets) lands well. Many call it the ideal ADHD/fidget game and great value for the low price. Main gripes: stuttering and blurry display on high-resolution monitors, no resolution or display settings, and one reviewer reports tasks randomly breaking until a restart.
HATTERS
Released on 27 Oct, 2026, developed by Moon, self-published. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: Action, Adventure, RPG
About the game: Hatters is a cooperative bullet hell roguelike for up to 4 players. Random spells of five elements, magical artifacts, new heroes and a light story with humor. Chaotic battles where magic and laughter fly everywhere.
Steam Reviews Summary: Early Access reviews are positive. Players love the co-op chaos with friends, the creative spell variety (ghost trains, pie mines), the humor, and the Doctor Strange voice acting, with one reviewer specifically noting it runs impressively well on Steam Deck. Negatives: bugs and crashes that can wipe out the gold you earned in a run, multiplayer issues like players getting kicked and bots that are hard to tell apart from humans, and a feeling that updates have been slow since Early Access. Solo play is considered harder and less fun than co-op.
CYBERLIFE
Released on 27 Oct, 2026, developed by CYBERLIFE Studios, self-published. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: Indie, Massively Multiplayer, RPG, Simulation, Strategy
About the game: CYBERLIFE is an online hacking game played through a terminal, in one world shared by every player. Break into companies, bring your loot back to your localhost, and take the crossroads every other operator has to go through.

Steam Reviews Summary: Few reviews so far, but all positive. The detailed ones call it a surprisingly deep and addictive text-based hacking sim, praising the freedom to develop your own strategy (researching vulnerabilities, crafting exploits, trading on the underground market, building infrastructure) and the added tension of attracting attention from the Agency. There is a learning curve and the in-game explanations are sparse, so reviewers suggest experimenting to figure out commands, but stress that no specialized knowledge is needed.
VAMPY’S BIG DAY
Released on 27 Oct, 2026, developed by Jerbob, self-published. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: Action, Adventure, Indie, RPG
About the game: Sneak through sunlit villages as a clumsy vampire. Move the sun with a fairy’s help to cast shadows, then spare or devour the villagers.
Steam Reviews Summary: Very Positive. Reviewers rave about the charming art style, the music, and the clever shadow-moving core mechanic, and many praise the choice-driven story (pacifist vs. genocide route) and the hidden secrets tucked into every level. Most common complaints: no way to replay completed levels, the autosave-on-room-transitions system that leaves enemies still aggro when you return, and lag on some machines. A few feel the stealth sections can come off as unfair rather than challenging. Overall it’s seen as a lovingly crafted indie debut that’s well worth the price.
ROGUE LINKS
Released on 27 Oct, 2026, developed by DoorPost Games, self-published. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: Action, Indie, Sports
About the game: Drive the ball. Fight your way to it. Rogue Links is a top-down action roguelite where every shot is a tradeoff: longer drives save strokes but unleash more monsters. Play the Campaign, Onslaught, the Endless Gauntlet, Daily runs and Head-to-Head, or build and share your own courses.
Steam Reviews Summary: The golf plus hack-and-slash mashup is called inventive, and the core loop gets the most praise: bomb a long drive to save strokes but fight through a bigger horde, or play it safe and take an extra stroke, with a brief shield bubble after reaching the ball as a nice breather. Build variety at the Clubhouse Cart, the Nemesis system where a monster that killed you comes back for revenge, and the Enter the Gungeon-style pixel art all get high marks, and one reviewer says performance on Steam Deck is flawless. The single negative review claims the art is AI generated, which other reviewers push back on.
TOO MUCH BAGGAGE
Released on 27 Oct, 2026, developed by Turbo Moth Games, self-published. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: Casual, Simulation, Strategy
About the game: Ever wonder where your bags go after check-in? In Too Much Baggage, keeping the airport moving is your problem. Build and expand a network of belts, route bags through security, and adapt as your airport grows. How long can you keep the world’s baggage flowing?
Steam Reviews Summary: Players find it a fun, challenging puzzle that gets addictive once you figure out the mechanics, with a cozy chill mode that’s a nice way to ease in and a satisfying push to keep beating your personal best on the departure line. The main gripes are that some mechanics feel obscure or underused (not opening arrivals apparently has no real penalty, and routing to hand-off points is tricky to sustain) and one reviewer would love to see an endless mode added.
FAITHFARER: THE CATHEDRAL
Released on 26 Oct, 2026, developed by a1dan, self-published. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: RPG, Early Access
About the game: A traditional, turn-based roguelike. Descend through procedurally generated dungeons, fight unique bosses, hunt rare gear, and spend Faith to shape your run. Switch between ASCII and tiles on the fly. Fully playable with a controller and on Steam Deck.
Steam Reviews Summary: Players call it a fun traditional roguelike that’s easy to learn but hard to master, with a good run time, nice class and loot variety, great music and a simple but well-made art design. The quality-of-life settings are a highlight, since they lower the usual barrier to entry for the genre and make it welcoming for first timers as well as genre fans. One reviewer specifically praises the Linux, Steam Deck and ultrawide support, and another notes the developer is responsive in the Steam forums.
THE MAILROOM
Released on 26 Oct, 2026, developed by Crowfriend and published by Vendetta. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: Indie, Simulation
About the game: Survive the horrors of hell’s deadest-end job: a human mail clerk. Process occult specimens, sort infernal mail, repair cursed machinery, and survive your shift in a cozy horror workplace simulator.
Steam Reviews Summary: Very Positive. Fans love the cozy horror atmosphere, the spooky-but-funny tone, the beautiful retro low-res art, the soundtrack, and the little extras like petting the frogs, flushing the toilet and the Twitch integration. The core mail-sorting loop is called challenging, therapeutic and fun, and the endless mode plus achievements give it extra replay value. The main complaint is length: many reviewers say the story wraps up in about 1.5 to 2 hours, leaves some mysteries unresolved, and reuses some mechanics only once, so it can feel rushed for the price. A few also find the movement clunky. It’s officially Steam Deck Verified, and reviewers confirm it plays nicely on the handheld.
CURSEBOUND
Released on 23 Oct, 2026, developed by nuuunu and published by nuuunuGames. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: Action, Adventure, Indie, RPG
About the game: A story-rich action adventure where you play as a god walking among humans to break a deadly curse. Explore a stylized world blending 2D pixel art and 3D low-poly landscapes, face colossal bosses, master an elemental form, and test your limits in Endless Mode.
Steam Reviews Summary: Few reviews so far, all positive, and all written during early access. Players describe it as a cute indie adventure with great lore, a cozy vibe, smooth and satisfying progression, and characters worth caring about. The common wish is simply for more: more quests, more boss fights, and the next chapter, which reviewers are eagerly awaiting. One also suggests adding an achievement for opening all the treasures.
LAURELI & THE BLOOD DIPPED MANOR
Released on 22 Oct, 2026, developed by Arkd3v and published by Arkd3v-Studios, LLC. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: Adventure, Indie
About the game: An Ace Attorney/Danganronpa style Murder Mystery-esque Visual Novel where an unlikely duo must find the vampiric killer stalking the halls of a stormy manor.
Steam Reviews Summary: Few reviews so far but they are positive, and the story is the clear star. Reviewers praise the unexpected twists, the connectable characters with memorable quirks, the playful art, and the multiple endings and side stories that reward replaying. One player who beat the main story and unlocked all four endings called it a masterpiece and wants it to become a franchise. Minor gripes: a couple of puzzle moments where the wording doesn’t quite match what’s needed (one player had to save scum), and a few small bugs that a post-launch patch fixed.
ERIC’S FARM
Released on 22 Oct, 2026, developed by HecatoNet, self-published. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: Action, Casual, Indie
About the game: Feed ’em… or get BONKED! Toss ridiculous snacks, dodge hangry animals and smash through ten chaotic days in a slapstick 3D farm game. Take on bosses, five minigames and Endless Mode, then unlock The Back Forty: grow crops, drive tractors and build your own farm.
Steam Reviews Summary: Positive so far. Players love the mix of chaotic, slapstick arcade days where hangry animals bonk you, and the relaxing farm-building mode that follows. The soundtrack, the wholesome humor that works for kids and adults alike, the minigames and bosses, and the surprisingly hard difficulty on higher settings are all called out. The developer gets kudos for fixing reported bugs within hours. On Steam Deck, one reviewer notes it works fine on the handheld and hopes it gets the official Verified badge.
BURG TAG
Released on 22 Oct, 2026, developed by Barji, self-published. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: Action, Indie
About the game: A fast-paced online multiplayer game of tag built around ridiculously satisfying movement. Wall kick, swing, slide and roll through colourful maps, and do whatever it takes to escape your friends… or tag them. No friends? Run a time trial!
Steam Reviews Summary: Reviews are Very Positive. Players rave about the movement: wall kicks, slides and momentum building feel satisfying, simple to pick up but with a real skill ceiling, and the colourful, glossy maps and graphics get a lot of praise. It shines in friend lobbies, with multiple modes (tag, freeze tag, hot potato), proximity chat and a wide cosmetics selection, and the time trial mode is well received as a solo activity. The main complaints are that it’s still early: a small online player base, netcode issues where players get kicked out of lobbies (especially on medium and large maps), occasional crashes, and some performance struggles on lower-end iGPU laptops. Common feature requests include adjustable match time, respawns after falling out of bounds, more movement options, and more match settings. Great value for the price if you bring friends.
NO MURDERS IN GRIMWICK
Released on 21 Oct, 2026, developed by Bee and Boo Games, self-published. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: Adventure, Indie
About the game: Investigate a murder at Grimwick’s harvest festival in this hand-drawn point-and-click mystery. Question suspicious locals, collect clues, use items, and uncover the truth behind a town that insists there was no murder.
Steam Reviews Summary: Reviews are Very Positive. Players love the hand-drawn art style, the cozy autumn/Halloween atmosphere, the dark humor and the well-written dialogue, and many see it as a charming short session (around an hour) that’s low stakes and perfect for point-and-click fans or newcomers, helped by a cursor hint system that makes it easy to navigate. The most common criticism is the length: the mystery is simple and fairly easy to solve, some item hunts feel a bit random, and dialogue can’t be skipped, so several reviewers suggest waiting for a sale. A couple of reviewers confirm it plays fine on Steam Deck with the trackpad.
WOIM
Released on 21 Oct, 2026, developed by dogspawn.net, self-published. [Steam Store Page]
Genre: Adventure, Indie, Strategy
About the game: WOIM is a puzzle game where you play as a worm! Push blocks, flip switches, eat apples and… cut yourself in half! WOIM will push you to keep digging downwards, solving tricky puzzles, finding secrets, and making new friends (that were once part of you).
Steam Reviews Summary: Reviews are Very Positive. Players call it a clever, fresh take on Sokoban: the worm’s own body getting in the way, plus the split-body mechanic, make the puzzles feel genuinely new, and the difficulty scales well so you often feel clever when a solution clicks. The cute art, music and sound design are frequently mentioned (the movement sound deepens as the worm grows), and the hat feature, where every segment gets a hat, is a hit. It’s around 5 to 6 hours to 100%, and most reviewers think it’s worth the price. Criticisms are minor: some feel the roughly 50 levels are a bit short, a few mechanics like the scissors aren’t fully explored, and there are a couple of softlock bug reports. A few reviewers confirm it works nicely on Steam Deck, including one noting the native Linux/SteamOS build runs flawlessly with a gamepad.
