So What?

Well, for most games (6 out of 10), it’s an anti-cheat support issue. Glad to see that Valve is actively trying to change the situation (for both BattlEye and EAC) but it’s going to be an uphill battle just to make developers move a finger, it seems. Maybe millions of Steam Decks out there will help them change their mind at some point. I was however surprised to see that there’s still quite a few games that also plainly don’t work even though anti-cheat may not be to blame. For those, we can probably expect some resolution as Valve tries to support the most popular titles with higher priority.

Let’s see again how these titles fare in mid-2022!
