A couple of months ago I reported that the release of the Windows PC, Mac and Linux version of Oddworld New’n Tasty was imminent, based on the publisher itself. Looks like they missed the Christmas timing, but this time we have a fixed date : 25th February 2015.
The press release says:
Oddworld fans will be delighted to learn that Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will be releasing for Windows PC, Mac and Linux on Steam on February 25th, while the Xbox One and PlayStation 3 versions are planned for release early March. All versions will take advantage of the post-launch improvements and tweaks made to the PlayStation 4 version, including the fan-requested ‘old school’ control settings, feature the same celebrated QuikSave and QuikLoad functions and of course offer a full rack of achievements and online leaderboards for speedrunners, and cloud saves on Steam.
Glad to see this reboot of the original Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee coming soon – it was very well received when it was released on Playstation 4 in the course of 2014. It will be sold for $20 / £15 / €20 on Steam at the time of release.
