New Steam Games Playable on the Steam Deck, with Road Rash 30th Anniversary and Lost Host - 2026-11-07 Edition

By

Between 2026-10-31 and 2026-11-07 we selected 18 newly released games that are rated as Verified or Playable on the Steam Deck, and meeting specific criteria in terms of user ratings. that’s a lot of games for one week, and there’s a good mix of different genres. My preference goes immediately to the release of Road Rash (a landmark of the Megadrive/Genesis era, and this is the 1996 PC version that’s now ported) that is really unrivaled even today.

Road Rash in 2026

Among the new releases, Lost Host is another game that caught my eye, with an original take on a toy car becoming un expected hero of the story, in a quest to retrieve its owner. Note that we include Theme Hospital in this week’s releases but despite its Playable rating on the Deck it looks like it’s not working very well on the device, if at all.

HORSES OF HOOFPRINT BAY

Released on 4 Nov, 2026, developed by Thogli Studios and published by The Mane Quest, . [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Casual, Simulation, Sports

Steam Deck Rating: Playable

User Reviews: 99 % Positive (out of 707 total reviews)

About the game: Horses of Hoofprint Bay is a lovingly hand-drawn 2D barn buildup and simulation game. Take care of your horses, train them to build up their strength and confidence and compete for prize money! Breed adorable foals, explore beautiful trails, hire and manage staff and build the stable of your dreams!

Steam Reviews Summary: Reviews are glowing about the hand-drawn 2D art, calling it adorable and full of personality, and many say it scratches the same itch as old horse management games from childhood (particularly Mein Pferdehof). The mechanics feel surprisingly realistic for the cozy look: breeding genetics are described as “Russian roulette,” boarding mares can accidentally fall pregnant by your stallion, and the fear/confidence training system adds real depth. Performance is consistently praised as smooth, well-optimized and largely bug-free on release. On Steam Deck it runs great according to reviewers, though you benefit from the touchpads/touchscreen for input, and one Deck player hit a caps-lock quirk with the Steam keyboard. Main gripes: the loop can get grindy and repetitive over time, a pregnant mare is out of service for a long stretch while her hard-earned stats decay, and some think the price is steep for the content, noting the free demo already showcased most of it.

ROAD RASH™: 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

Released on Nov 5, 2026, developed by Electronic Arts, self-published. [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Action, Racing

Steam Deck Rating: Playable

User Reviews: 95.7 % Positive (out of 376 total reviews)

About the game: Road Rash, the franchise which defined the combat racing genre, returns in the first ever digital version of the game. This 30th Anniversary Edition includes a fully relicensed soundtrack, higher resolution cinematics, up to 60 FPS gameplay, and more.

Steam Reviews Summary: The mood is pure nostalgia, with a wave of longtime players describing the childhood memories hit by firing it up. The top review (500+ upvotes) details how EA recovered the original source code and master tapes, then spent months relicensing all 14 tracks, so the grunge soundtrack is fully intact and now also plays during races (in the original it only appeared in menus and cutscenes), which reviewers call the killer feature of this version. Players are impressed that it is a faithful 1:1 preservation with upscaled remastered cinematics, newly added controller support, and no DRM or EA app attached. Criticisms are the predictable ones for a 30-year-old game: 480p resolution, awkward audio mixers, no achievements, no modern display options, and no official Simplified Chinese localization (community patches already exist). At least one reviewer confirms it plays fine on Steam Deck.

BOOST VECTOR EX

Released on 2 Nov, 2026, developed by Blockage, self-published. [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Action, Indie, Racing, Sports

Steam Deck Rating: Playable

User Reviews: 95.6 % Positive (out of 136 total reviews)

About the game: RUN FAST. Faster than any other. Take control of a Vector Master and sprint in uncompromising pure parkour racing. Hone your style with responsive, flowing controls and break limits in the Premier Vector World Cup. The race, your friends, and victory beckon your arrival… Did I mention it was fast?

Steam Reviews Summary: Reviewers call it a speedy, flashy, stylish parkour racer that finally leaves Roblox as a proper standalone release, praising the visual style, the distinct playstyles of the characters (different boost and movement combos feel genuinely different), the thumping OST and the chill, helpful multiplayer community. For many it is a clear upgrade over the Roblox original, and those who come from Neon Knights enjoy the shared lore. The common criticisms: the tutorial is thin and leaves mechanics like “perfect jump” unexplained, several maps are hard to read with walls, floors and sky blending into the same colors, there are spots where you can get permanently stuck in the void with a slow respawn, and grazing an obstacle wipes all your speed in a game built on speed. The story mode also feels short and abruptly ending, while some players reported cheaters in public lobbies with no anti-cheat yet. Linux users should know Steam connectivity (saves, achievements, multiplayer) is broken on the native build; one workaround mentioned is running the Windows build via Proton.

WIELDERS OF THE ESSENCE

Released on 5 Nov, 2026, developed by Lavapotion and published by Lavapotion, . [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Action, Indie

Steam Deck Rating: Verified

User Reviews: 95.5 % Positive (out of 178 total reviews)

About the game: Single-player horde survival with a touch of incremental base building. Cast spells, command troops, and take your town from puddle to paradise. Eight-minute runs. Eight hours to complete.

Steam Reviews Summary: Reviews see it as a standout in the crowded Vampire Survivors scene, mainly because of the army recruiting and town upgrading layered on top of short runs, plus the fact that it comes from the Songs of Conquest team (familiar characters and units appear, and many players have a soft spot for the frog protagonist). Praise focuses on the beautiful pixel art, the easy-to-pick-up pace, the satisfying “constant something to unlock” meta progression and the very fair price. Steam Deck compatibility is called out positively, with one reviewer saying it works really well on the Deck. The recurring negatives: the game is on the short side (some players beat it in a single day), the ascension system feels weak and punishes with too much progress reset, there is no option to tone down the heavy visual effects (a migraine concern for some), and your followers can be hard to tell apart from enemies once hordes get busy.

PIANO GLOW

Released on 6 Nov, 2026, developed by TheAlanski, self-published. [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Casual, Indie, Simulation, Animation & Modeling, Audio Production, Video Production

Steam Deck Rating: Playable

User Reviews: 94.5 % Positive (out of 164 total reviews)

About the game: Piano in online multiplayer lobbies, with leaderboards, gamified training modes (ear, sheet, rhythm, 4K/7K and falling notes). Play any song using either a QWERTY computer/laptop keyboard or a piano. Convert any piano video or sheet music into falling notes tutorial/MIDI.

Steam Reviews Summary: Longtime players call it the best piano practice software they have tried, and it works with QWERTY keyboard or MIDI instruments. The standout feature by far is converting any audio, MIDI or PDF sheet music into falling-notes charts you can learn from, plus the gamified training modes for sheet reading, ear training, rhythm and scales get frequent mentions. The online lobbies are a welcome bonus, with reviewers repeatedly praising the friendly community and the developer who ships fast, responsive updates (one reviewer’s streaming feature request was added in under four hours). Criticisms: the UI is packed with toggles and can feel cluttered or overwhelming for beginners (though almost everything can be turned off once you find it), onboarding for true beginners is thin, and some are unhappy about the account, login bonuses, daily shop and social features that crept in over updates (a later update reportedly removed the microtransactions). Computer keyboard users note chord ghosting can make chords awkward. A handful of negative reviews call the whole package messy and unfinished, but the large majority view it as a great-value tool that makes practice feel like a game.

DEADZONED

Released on 2 Nov, 2026, developed by caiys and published by caiysware. [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Adventure, Indie, RPG

Steam Deck Rating: Verified

User Reviews: 94 % Positive (out of 116 total reviews)

About the game: Deadzoned is a sci-fi turn-based action Roguelike. Blast your way through zones battling the beasts, bandits, and monsters that stalk the blackouts. But you’ll need your wits to make best use of the gear you stumble upon to survive and save the fate of the planet!

Steam Reviews Summary: Fans of traditional roguelikes and of caiys’ other games are in strong favor: the pitch of a classic turn-based crawler in modern, legible pixel art lands well, and it is repeatedly described as a great gateway into deeper roguelikes for players who have never tried the genre. Weapon management is the core of the fun (ammo, hidden durability, reloading, and switching guns all cost decisions), and level-up talent picks, ten unlockable classes, leaderboards and the bonus card game give it replay value. On Steam Deck feedback is mixed: several reviewers say it runs great with a controller, while others report crashes during long sessions on the Deck. Other common gripes: the RNG can feel unfair (low hit rates and 1-X damage rolls), you can only save between floors so quitting mid-run deletes your progress, event buildings are hard to tell apart, and every weapon shares the same firing animation. Since launch the dev has already shipped several fixes (red durability warnings, class-specific talents, a class mentor terminal at spawn), so expect more polish going forward.

VOID/BREAKER

Released on 4 Nov, 2026, developed by Stubby Games and published by Playstack. [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Action, Adventure, Indie

Steam Deck Rating: Verified

User Reviews: 92.7 % Positive (out of 2200 total reviews)

About the game: Fast paced Bullet hell Roguelite FPS 🔴 Fight relentless machines driven by a hostile AI. Escape an endless cycle. Craft infinite weapon variants with deep gun modding. Forge deadly synergies. Carve your way out through enviro destruction /BREAK THE SYSTEM /BREAK FREE

Steam Reviews Summary: Players call it one of the best FPS roguelites out there, and the constant refrain is “made by one person”. The gun modding system is the star: builds break balance in hilarious ways, and the joke mods (bullets firing from the sky, damage tied to mouse sensitivity, ammo tied to your screen resolution) are the most-upvoted reviews in the list. Visuals, fluid movement, the techno soundtrack and the destructible-environment stagger system get constant praise, with DOOM Eternal comparison appearing all over. Common gripes: poor readability of bullet-hell attacks and UI meters, the first boss being brutally hard, overpowered repeater builds that bore you, recoil handling, some useless mods, no unstuck button, and harsh sound effects (turn SFX down). Content is still growing in early access, but consensus is the base game is solid and well optimized.

UNDERKEEP

Released on 5 Nov, 2026, developed by Rake in Grass, self-published. [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Adventure, Indie, RPG

Steam Deck Rating: Playable

User Reviews: 92.4 % Positive (out of 329 total reviews)

About the game: Explore a dangerous fantasy world in this role-playing dungeon crawler with tactical, turn-based combat. Assemble a party of adventurers, upgrade your gear, and explore a fully handcrafted world.

Steam Reviews Summary: Reviewers describe it as a love letter to 90s blobbers. Eye of the Beholder, Might and Magic, Dungeon Master, Wizardry and Grimrock get named repeatedly, and the pixel art, atmosphere, weather and handcrafted dungeons are widely praised. Modern QoL (automap, quicksaves, no paper mapping) earns extra credit, and the turn-based tactical combat is seen as a welcome change from real-time action. The main criticism is unforgiving design: gear has strict stat requirements that punish bad character rolls, there is no respec, party composition can softlock you 10 hours into the game, enemies never respawn so there is no XP farming, and dungeon doors can trap you with a dead party. Fans suggest rerolling stats, saving constantly and reading guides before starting a party; some negative reviewers say to wait for patches. Controller support works well, which suits a “Playable” Deck rating.

DUNGEON RAMPAGE REMASTERED

Released on 3 Nov, 2026, developed by Gamebreaking Studios, self-published. [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Action, Casual, Indie, RPG

Steam Deck Rating: Playable

User Reviews: 88.1 % Positive (out of 880 total reviews)

About the game: Battle your way to victory in this 1-4 player co-op hack-n-slash dungeon crawler completely remastered! Play as a dynamic cast of heroes slicing their way through dungeons, earning weapons and loot. Rampage past a gauntlet of enemies and destruction to end the evil Lord Dinglepus’ reign!

Steam Reviews Summary: This is almost entirely a nostalgia play. The top reviews are from players who remember the original Facebook flash game, and the emotional reaction (10 years later, “I cried”) drives the 88% score. Positives: no pay-to-win, the core co-op loop still scratches the same itch, and the devs are active and listening. Negatives are consistent and serious: the game still runs on the old Adobe Flash engine, capped at 30 FPS with low-res, grainy assets, so the “remastered” label irritates many who expected an actual modern port. Expect bugs (windowed mode freezes, looping chest animations), unbalanced matchmaking, a slow grind for coins, no key remapping, no offline mode, and a player base that may shrink as the novelty fades. Some long-time players also lost trust when the devs started selling “HD” skins as paid DLC, despite earlier no-microtransaction promises. Buy it for the memories, not for technical polish.

INCREMENTAL TRAFFIC

Released on 1 Nov, 2026, developed by Rischer Kriebl, self-published. [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Casual, Simulation

Steam Deck Rating: Playable

User Reviews: 87.9 % Positive (out of 149 total reviews)

About the game: A transport and logistics game where traffic jams are your worst enemy. Haul goods from fields, forests and quarries through a procedurally generated town, earn money with every delivery and buy more trucks, until your own fleet jams the streets. Then fix it with traffic rules.

Steam Reviews Summary: Fans compare it to a mix of Mini Motorways, Mini Metro, Transport Fever and Factorio, and the core loop (pump more trucks in, then untangle the jams with yield signs, roundabouts, one-ways and traffic lights) is called genuinely addictive and “watching the trucks flow is better than crack”. The inability to freely build roads is the game’s most debated feature: some say the fixed layouts force real optimization and make it great, others say late-game road layouts can softlock progress in ways that have nothing to do with your traffic management, and single-lane intersections are a constant frustration. Other complaints: traffic simulation bugs (trucks ignore lanes and deadlock), weak tutorial, some verbose AI-written text, and performance dips on large maps with older PCs. The developer ships updates extremely fast (multiple per day at launch), which is repeatedly noted as a plus. A good fit for calm, short sessions.

PIT OF GOBLIN

Released on 3 Nov, 2026, developed by Friendly Foe and published by Friendly Foe, . [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Action, Adventure, Indie

Steam Deck Rating: Verified

User Reviews: 86.2 % Positive (out of 443 total reviews)

About the game: In this online horror co-op, you play as a scrappy goblin, scavenging dungeons, dodging traps, and fleeing monsters to feed the Goblin King-Queen. Team up with goblin pals, or go rogue, as you dive deep and cause chaos! Fail to feed them, and you might be the next meal!

Steam Reviews Summary: A Lethal Company style “friendslop” game, and with 3 or 4 people it is widely called hilarious. The dark pixel atmosphere, the goblin theme, short-range voice chat and the chaos of feeding the King-Queen (players brag about beating rats to death and serving them) carry the positive reviews. The negatives are blunt: the difficulty is brutal and poorly balanced. Even rats can wipe a run, stamina drains too fast, enemy aggro is almost impossible to shake, and the fixed map layouts (not randomly generated) go stale after a few runs. Technical issues include frequent crashes, falling through the map, and players spawning outside it. Solo and duo play is considered nearly impossible; 3 players is a minimum, and 4 is recommended as someone can coordinate from the bucket. Some players also dispute the store page’s “single player” claim. Buy it on sale with a full friend group, and expect to die a lot.

HULL RUPTURE

Released on 4 Nov, 2026, developed by Konfa Games and published by tinyBuild. [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Action, Indie, Strategy

Steam Deck Rating: Playable

User Reviews: 76.9 % Positive (out of 121 total reviews)

About the game: If the ship stops, humanity ends. Manage a spaceship, treat puny humans as resources, and repel relentless alien assaults in a base-management tower-defense roguelite where every choice seemed reasonable at the time.

Steam Reviews Summary: The Konfa pixel art, animation (especially the expendable humans) and music get near-universal praise, and fans of FTL/Crying Suns see the core resource-management/tower-defense loop as fun and on-theme for playing the despot. The dominant complaint is the randomized shop: packs are 100% RNG, key modules (plasteel, microchips, isotopes, jellyfish energy) are hard prerequisites and missing them kills the run, so outcomes feel luck-driven rather than strategy-driven. Difficulty curve takes the same hit: classic mode is easy, everything above it is near impossible, and the fixed regen boss on wave 13 is a hard wall. Waves come fast for planning layouts, and the building system makes room placement hard to read. A post-launch update already tweaked early-RNG weights, so expect more balance work. Several long-running bugs were cited (boss HP bar stuck, endless mode HP not refreshing). Replays are repetitive for some.

SILICA

Released on 3 Nov, 2026, developed by Martin ‘Dram’ Melichárek and published by Bohemia Interactive. [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Action, Indie, Strategy

Steam Deck Rating: Playable

User Reviews: 76.6 % Positive (out of 3684 total reviews)

About the game: Silica blends FPS and RTS in epic, photorealistic battles. Choose to fight on the ground or command from above as humans or aliens. Dive into thrilling multiplayer combat or master strategic command. Are you ready to survive and conquer?

Steam Reviews Summary: The RTS/FPS hybrid is the selling point: reviewers compare it to Planetside, Halo and C&C Renegade and call seamless switching between commander and ground soldier (or alien) genuinely thrilling, with night battles and tank sieges highlighted as peak moments. Impressive for a solo dev, and the visuals get consistent praise. The biggest recurring negative is pathfinding: harvesters getting stuck, colliding, or destroying each other, plus units wedged on terrain, forcing constant babysitting. Basic RTS commands (attack-move, hold, form, rally points) are missing, and the AI is called passive in one camp and overwhelmingly aggressive in singleplayer in another. Pacing is slow, maps feel oversized for infantry, and optimization tanks large multiplayer battles (sub-30 FPS reports on mid/high-end hardware). A recent 1.0-era review calls the campaign tutorial-like with boring missions and still-broken pathfinding. Player base is small enough that finding games is a repeated gripe. The alien crab side is a fan-favorite.

SCAM LINE

Released on 3 Nov, 2026, developed by RavenJm and published by RavenJm, . [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Indie

Steam Deck Rating: Playable

User Reviews: 76.3 % Positive (out of 245 total reviews)

About the game: Scam Line is a 4–8 player social deception game where your party will face different challenges. Become a liar, a manipulator, a cheater, or find your own path to victory

Steam Reviews Summary: Best played with a full group of friends, then the phone-call minigames and lying/gaslighting chaos land well and sessions run long. It is cheap (around $5), which reviewers call strong value, and the dev is responsive and plays with the community on Discord. Main gripes: it needs an even player count because the 5th or 7th player sits out every call; there is no matchmaking with strangers, so most buyers end up needing to assemble a party themselves, and the English-language player pool is small; live score display lets people deduce who is lying, and several reviews want it hidden until the end of the round; mic options lack push-to-talk and noise suppression, so quiet or noisy microphones leak lies. Requests are consistently for more minigames, and a handful want Workshop access. One notable negative review claims 95% GPU utilization across different hardware (possible optimization issue, unverified).

HEART ABYSS

Released on 3 Nov, 2026, developed by DEADMAP and published by HeroCraft PC, . [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Action, Adventure, Indie, Strategy

Steam Deck Rating: Verified

User Reviews: 100 % Positive (out of 33 total reviews)

About the game: Heart Abyss is a brutal action-platformer inspired by Japan during the 17th and 18th centuries. Wake up your inner beast and take vengeance on those who put a collar around your neck. Find your sister and uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of all jinkos.

Steam Reviews Summary: The combat is the draw: heavy hit feedback, distinct feel between bare hands, blade and hammer, and finishers that reviewers single out as the best thing about the game. Edo-period Japanese setting with a half-fox protagonist gets praised, comparisons to Katana Zero/Sanabi come up, and the visuals, music and atmosphere are well received. Difficulty is high on purpose, and finishing moves also heal, which makes the loop rewarding. The negative slice (roughly 1 in 8) points to a rough launch state: crashes, missing cutscene sprites, quest triggers failing to fire, and broken saves costing hours of progress; platforming and parkour (wall jumps, lava chase sequences) feel poorly implemented by some, boss hitboxes and combo animations get called sloppy with input lag, and a few reviewers find the profanity and Katana Zero-style humor forced. Framerate drops on weaker PCs were also reported by a couple.

ALTEREDBLOOD+ [AB+]

Released on 4 Nov, 2026, developed by TRUEWORLD STUDIOS, self-published. [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Action, Indie, Early Access

Steam Deck Rating: Playable

User Reviews: 98.9 % Positive (out of 87 total reviews)

About the game: A BLOOD-soaking Movement-FPS platformer🩸where you Splatter walls and floors with your foe’s BLOOD. Stand in that BLOOD to [ALTER] yourself and your Weapons. Soak up BLOOD to replenish and keep fighting. MOTHER created you to stop them. Beckon our Extinction.

Steam Reviews Summary: “ULTRAKILL meets Splatoon” is the most common description, and the blood-pool loop works: standing in blood restores health, refills ammo and buffs weapons, which keeps the pace aggressive and readable. Movement is the star: Quake/Source-style options including air-strafing, bunny hopping, rocket jumping, wall jumping, ground slams, plus a knife with parry and a stamina-based slow-motion toggle that reviewers praise as a genuine accessibility mechanic. Art direction (cyberpunk furry protagonist) and the OST are widely praised, the game runs well on weak PCs, and the dev is seen as responsive to demo feedback. Negatives: content is thin for early access (demo plus one area, ending right after the boss), several reviews call it a near-1:1 Ultrakill derivative, environments are repetitive white blocky arenas, the tutorial frontloads too much, the knife is mildly janky, and some hate the grate/wall-phasing mechanic for breaking momentum. Priced low and widely considered fair value for what it is.

LOST HOST

Released on 4 Nov, 2026, developed by Gest.LT, self-published. [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Action, Adventure, Indie, Racing

Steam Deck Rating: Verified

User Reviews: 98.1 % Positive (out of 54 total reviews)

About the game: Can a toy car become the hero of a video game? One night, its owner mysteriously vanished without a trace. Left alone in the quiet room, this little car sets out on a spooky and mysterious journey - to find the boy…

Steam Reviews Summary: The concept and atmosphere carry it: a cozy, slightly spooky toy-world exploration with heavy 90s/00s nostalgic touches (PS1 and Toy Story comparisons), good driving physics and car controls, beautiful visuals and sound, and star collection plus simple upgrades that suit a one-or-two-evening playthrough. Being made by a Lithuanian solo dev, fully localized in Lithuanian, is a big part of the positive sentiment. Cons: short for the price (roughly 3 to 4 hours), the story is simple and the ending lands weak for some, and the polish is uneven: invisible walls, abrupt level transitions that dump you in the next area, a camera/controls mix that can frustrate (grip complaints for the platforming jumps, keyboard and mouse called easier), plus a few texture and collision issues (CCTV hitboxes not matching the model, one drivable gap out of bounds).

THEME HOSPITAL™

Released on 5 Nov, 2026, developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts. [Steam Store Page]

Genre: Casual, Simulation

Steam Deck Rating: Playable

User Reviews: 92.7 % Positive (out of 41 total reviews)

About the game: Design, maintain and manage a hi-tech hospital facility, making the most of limited resources and turning cures into cash. Can you balance the books and the bedpans?

Steam Reviews Summary: Reviews are pure nostalgia, with players calling it the Bullfrog masterpiece and “grandfather of hospital sims,” and buying it as a “tribute to their childhood.” It is a straight DOSBox port of the 1997 original, no modernization, no widescreen, no Steam achievements and no added languages, and that gets the main gripes, with Russian and Chinese speakers especially vocal about the missing localization and one reviewer flagging choppy mouse movement. The positive side says it runs fine on Windows and Linux, looks and plays exactly like the original, and the intro humor still lands. CorsixTH, the free community rebuild, is recommended constantly in the thread: it adds high resolutions, zoom, bug fixes and 20+ languages and works with the Steam version’s assets, so many say play that instead if you want a modernized experience. On Steam Deck the “Playable” label overstates it: one detailed review reports freezes on load, hard crashes from the Menu button, and the cursor getting permanently stuck at the top left corner after any touch input, which kills your progress; another Deck owner only hit occasional crashes. Newcomers are steered toward Two Point Hospital as the friendlier alternative.
