New Games You Can Play With Proton Since May 2020

And June is upon us. And COVID-19 seems to be less of a problem in most countries that opened up again (hopefully) - if you are still under some kind of lockdown, we got your covered with some recent games recommendations!

You will find below the list of the most popular reports on ProtonDB for the month of June… as usual “Gold+” refers to the number of reports in April that were either “Gold” or “Platinum” in rating, meaning that you could either play them out of the box or with a minor tweak to make them launch. Such ratings don’t exist anymore per se on ProtonDB but they can be recreated based on the provided user data.

First Gwent the card game - based on its popularity it was only a matter of time until it became a standalone game. And it works perfectly under Proton:

Then comes Crucible, a free-to-play multiplayer PVP shooter. I won’t dwell too long on this one since it’s apparently pretty bad in terms of reviews - if you really want to have a look you can always check it our by yourself.

Ghostrunner reminds me of Dishonered set in a Cyberpunk world. There’s a demo if you’d like to try it out as well:

Wonderful 101 is a Japanese game from the famous PlatinumGames studio (Bayonetta, Vanquish, Nier Automata, and more), which was originally released on the WiiU. Considering how small the WiiU market was, it was almost confidential at the time, and they just released a remaster for it across several platforms, including Steam. And it works fine on Proton now:

Time for sport?** Super Mega Baseball 3** is what it seems to be. Even though in Japan Baseball is the national game, I can’t personally watch a match without falling asleep, so I can’t make any useful comment about this!

Jet Lancer reminds me a lot of a super-charged version of Lufthausers.

Samsara Room is a game that’s free to play - you are supposed to escape a room by solving puzzles.

That’s it for now! If you think there are new games (out since May 2020) that should be mentioned here, let us know in the comments!
