I am personally not too fond of social networks, but it is certainly true that in a fragmented community like the Linux gamers one, it is a good idea to reach out to users on several channels to ensure there is a larger exposure to what we are all doing. In that sense we have decided to reactivate our (until recently) dormant Twitter account. Not sure how many of you are on Twitter currently, but if you are interested to follow up with us there you can check and subscribe to our @boilingsteam account. We have been posting stuff there actively already for the past couple of weeks.
Note that this Twitter feed will be mostly focused on Linux games (i.e. this is not a regular Twitter feed where folks comment about everything) so if that is what you are interested in, and want minimum noise in your feed, this may be for you. This is not just about posting about what we publish here on BoilingSteam, as we will relay smaller news items as well (for example, news of specific game releases, videos we found interesting and worth sharing, game recommendations, etc…).
And, last but not least, you can also reach us directly there through private or public messages if you want to tell us something. We hope you like the idea!
You might want to check out the following articles too!
BoilingSteam lets you access our content for free, but writing articles is a constant investment. We don't use ads or sponsporship, help us make our activities sustainable by donating via Patreon or LiberaPay if you prefer it anonymous. You can follow what we do via our newsletter, our RSS feed, our Mastodon profile or our Twitter feed. We also have Peertube, Youtube and LBRY channels. If you'd like to chat, you can also find us on #boilingsteam:matrix.org. (what is Matrix?)
