3 New Games You Can Play With Proton Since Nov. 2020
This is going to be a short update this time around. Why only 3 games you might say? I don’t know, maybe because the biggest game of all time was supposed to be released in November 2020? Or it could just mere coincidence…
As usual, we look at the latest data dumps from ProtonDB to give you a quick list of new games that work (pretty much?) perfectly with Proton since November 2020 - the Median rating indicates that games work either out of the box (5) or well enough with tweaks (4):
Rank | Title | n | Median Rating |
1 | Slasher's Keep | 5 | 5 |
2 | The Falconeer | 3 | 5 |
3 | BloodRayne: Terminal Cut | 3 | 5 |
Let’s start with Slasher’s Keep, a roguelike FPS RPG - the style kind of reminds me of the old Ultima Underworld.
Then we have The Falconeer, a pretty original game where you ride a falcon in aerial dogfights with open world elements. I have been playing it since last month, it works perfectly on Linux and you can see one video here as a proof:
BloodRayne: Terminal Cut is a remaster of the 2002 title - I remember it came out not too long after Deus Ex and it was pretty popular in magazines at the time… Don’t expect a very high quality remaster here, the game is largely untouched - 3rd person action game like we don’t make them anymore:
So that’s it for now… you can go back to playing Cyberpunk 2077 (if it works on your machine/config).
