As a hardcore fan, I’m happy to announce that the Second Encore content for Skullgirls is now available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, in addition to the PlayStation 4/Vita versions, the latter of which was just released last week.
The gist of what’s included with the Second Encore edition:
- Access to all five DLC characters: Squigly, Big Band, Eliza, Beowulf, and Robo-Fortune
- Extra color palettes for each character
- Voiced Story Mode
- Survival Mode
- Combo Tutorials
Note, however, that if you own any of the previous DLC, you will not get a discount. To compensate, the upgrade will cost $10 within the first week it’s released, which will then bump to $15 afterwards. (EDIT 4/14: Actually, you will get an extra 17% discount if you own any of the DLC, making it a total of 50% off)
I’m hooked. Heck, I think I like this better than Smash Bros. You can check out my review of the game here.
I’ll admit: it’s going to take a while to learn the hoops of this game, especially since each character is vastly unique from the other. The tutorial is a great place to start, and now that we have Trials for each character, you can pick one that you like to get a feel for how she works.
Don’t forget to make your Linux sales count!
